Bridgeville, PA (June 25, 2020) – On Wednesday, June 24, a fatal train accident took place near an intersection in Bridgeville.
The accident happened around 11 a.m. on the train tracks near the intersection of Wabash Avenue and Millers Run Road. Three teenagers were walking in the area of the train trestle when the accident occurred.
A 15-year-old girl was struck and killed by the train as it passed through the area. Another female teen who was with her jumped over the side and hung onto the trestle until the train passed. A third teen, identified as a 17-year-old, was injured in the accident and hospitalized.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
