Braddock, PA – Two Injured in Train Accident Involving Vehicle on 11th StPa Accident News
Braddock, PA (February 18, 2022) – Around midnight on Thursday, February 17, two people were injured in a Braddock train accident.
Braddock Police confirmed that the accident happened around midnight at 11th Street. A passenger vehicle was traveling in the area when it collided with a train that was traveling on the tracks nearby. It is not known why the two collided with each other but the vehicle was extensively damaged as a result of the accident.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. Two people inside the passenger vehicle, who have not yet been identified, were taken to the hospital for treatment of unknown injuries. Nobody on the train sustained injuries.
Due to the severity of the crash, the roadway was blocked at the train tracks for a period of time.
No further details have been released but the investigation continues. Police will update as more information becomes available.
