Bethlehem, PA (November 24, 2021) – At 8:30 p.m. on the night of Tuesday, November 23, a woman was killed in a pedestrian accident in Bethlehem.
According to Northampton County officials, the accident occurred at 1400 Stefko Boulevard. A pedestrian, identified as 48-year-old Lisa Byrd, was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by a vehicle traveling through the area. It is believed that the driver remained at the scene to cooperate with the police.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were called to the scene to help those in need. Byrd sustained multiple blunt-force injuries as a result of the accident. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for an extended period of time. Police worked to clear the scene.
