Bethlehem, PA – David Polczer Killed in Fatal Truck Accident on E Fourth St
Bethlehem, PA (June 10, 2022) – One person was killed in a fatal dump truck accident that took place at a Bethlehem intersection on Thursday afternoon, June 9.
According to local officials, the accident happened around 1:15 p.m. at the intersection of East Fourth Street and Emery Street. A driver in a dump truck was traveling in the area of the intersection when the truck ran into a passenger vehicle and then a traffic post. The dump truck sustained severe damage as a result of the accident.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other responders were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. A passenger in the dump truck, identified as 57-year-old David Polczer, was rushed to St. Luke’s Hospital with severe injuries. He was tragically pronounced dead about an hour after he arrived. Nobody else was injured in the accident.
The roadway was blocked at the intersection for over an hour as police worked to clear the scene.
No further details have been released. The investigation into the accident continues.
