Belleville, PA (February 28, 2023) – A toddler was killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place at a private school in Belleville on Saturday, February 25, around noon.
According to local police, the accident happened at noon on 120 Applehouse Road at the Valley View Christian School, a private school in the area. A 2-year-old boy was standing outside when a man got into his vehicle. The man suffered a medical episode, causing him to strike the child and pin him against the school building. The driver then continued to drive forward, unable to stop and pinning the boy even further. There was a person inside the bathroom at the time of the accident who was struck by debris caused by the force of the collision.
Several Belleville responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were dispatched to the scene to help those in need. The 2-year-old boy was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The person who was inside the building and was struck by debris was hospitalized but is expected to be okay.
