Bedford County, PA – Two Killed, One Seriously Injured in Car Crash on Rt 30

Bedford County, PA (February 14, 2021) – Around 11:00 a.m. on the morning of February 12, a multi-vehicle crash took place in Bedford County that led to two fatalities and multiple injuries.

Route 30 in Bedford County has re-opened after it was shut down for hours on Friday as a result of a fiery crash that claimed the lives of two individuals and injured several others. Per reports from the Pennsylvania State Police, details surrounding the incident are still limited at this time but officers confirmed that two people died at the scene as a result of their injuries while at least one other individual was airlifted to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

The initial investigation from authorities on the scene notes that the crash happened when a logging truck collided with an SUV on the roadway. Fire crews worked to extinguish a fire that engulfed both vehicles in flames and black smoke.

The accident remains under investigation and no further details have been released.
