Barnesville, PA – Two-Vehicle Crash at Morea Rd and I-81 Intersection

Barnesville, PA (December 11, 2020) – On Thursday evening, December 10, a two-vehicle crash took place at an intersection in Barnesville.

Police confirmed that the collision involved two vehicles and took place at the intersection of Morea Road and I-81. At the time, 48-year-old Sean Smyth was traveling west on Morea when he struck a vehicle that was traveling east. The second vehicle was driven by 28-year-old Jared Smith. Smith’s vehicle struck the passenger side of the first vehicle.

Smyth was transported to a local hospital with a head injury while Smith and his 57-year-old passenger, Dean Bucks, were not injured.

Wreckers were present at the scene to remove the damaged vehicle. The roadway was blocked at the intersection for a short period of time.

No further details have been released. The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
