Audubon, PA – Christine Severino Killed in Head-on Collision on PA-422
Audubon, PA (February 1, 2023) – A woman was killed in a fatal head-on collision that took place on a major roadway in Audubon on Saturday morning, January 28.
According to Chester County officials, the accident happened around 3:27 a.m. on PA-422. Police confirmed that a 29-year-old man was driving when he suddenly veered into oncoming traffic due to reasons that are not entirely known. His vehicle collided with a second vehicle head-on, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and several other local responders were called to the scene to help those in need. The driver of the second vehicle, identified as 41-year-old Christine Severino, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene due to traumatic injuries. The 29-year-old driver of the other vehicle was hospitalized but is expected to be okay.
The roadway was blocked in several lanes of traffic for some time. This led to delays until the scene was cleared.
