Altoona, PA (September 18, 2021) – On Friday, September 17, a severe motorcycle accident occurred on a roadway in Altoona that led to injuries.
According to the Logan Township Police Department, the accident happened at West Plank Road around the area of I-99. A sedan was traveling in the area when it collided with a motorcycle head-on. The motorcycle laid over immediately following the accident, which led to extensive damages.
Paramedics, fire crews, and numerous other responders were immediately dispatched to the scene to help those with injuries. The driver of the motorcycle and the driver of the sedan were both taken to the hospital with injuries. The driver of the motorcycle was allegedly in critical condition.
The roadway was blocked in the area for an extended period of time as police worked to clear the scene.
