Allentown, PA – Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on I-78LawPaWriter
Allentown, PA (June 3, 2021) – At 5 a.m. on Thursday morning, June 3, a man was killed in a pedestrian accident in Allentown.
According to Pennsylvania State Police, the collision happened on I-78 around the area of exit 49. A man was crossing the street in the area when he was struck by a tractor-trailer. The driver of the truck remained at the scene.
Paramedics and numerous other responders were present at the scene to help those in need. The male pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.
All traffic was blocked in the area and detoured.
No further details have been released but the investigation remains ongoing.
