Akron, PA – One Killed in Fatal Pedestrian Accident on S Seventh St
Akron, PA (November 28, 2022) – One person lost their life in a tragic pedestrian accident that took place on an Akron roadway on the evening of Saturday, November 26.
According to West Earl Township Police, the accident happened around 5:16 p.m. at 500 South Seventh Street. Police confirmed that a Chevy Suburban was traveling south when the driver suddenly struck a pedestrian due to reasons that are not yet known. The driver of the Chevy remained at the scene of the accident.
Several responders, including paramedics and fire crews, were called to the scene to help those in need. The unidentified pedestrian was tragically pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. The driver of the Chevy was not hurt in the collision.
The roadway was blocked in the area of the accident for some time as police worked to clear the scene. It is not known if the driver of the Chevy received any charges related to the accident.
