Adams County, PA – Michael Peterson Loses Life in Multi-Vehicle Truck Wreck on PA-116 near Honda Rd

Adams County, PA (October 21, 2023) – The Pennsylvania State Police out of Gettysburg confirmed that 24-year-old Michael Peterson of Hanover, Pennsylvania, lost his life as a result of a fatal car accident that occurred on Thursday, October 19.

According to authorities, multiple vehicles were involved in a collision on Pennsylvania Route 116. Reports indicate that a 2010 Chevrolet Malibu collided with a semi-truck on the roadway near the intersection of Honda Road. The impact of the crash caused the Chevrolet to spin out and strike a utility pole near the road. The driver of the vehicle became trapped and had to be extricated by United Hook and Ladder Company #33.

The driver of the Chevrolet, identified as Peterson, was transported by ambulance to a local hospital. Authorities confirmed that he later passed away from his injuries.

At this time, the state police are investigating to determine what caused the accident to occur.
