1 Hospitalized in SUV Vs Tractor-Trailer Crash in Berks County

Tulpehocken, Pennsylvania (August 16, 2017) – One person was injured and transported to a hospital following a traffic collision between an SUV and a tractor-trailer this morning in Berks County, according to emergency officials.

The incident occurred at around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 16 at New Schaefferstown and Rehrersburg roads in Tulpehocken Township.

The SUV driver was extricated in 20 minutes. Emergency crews called for a medical helicopter to transport the victim, but none was available at the time because of the foggy weather.

Crews were at the crash site as of 6:30 a.m.

Limited details regarding the cause of the accident and the identity of the victim were available.
